The Summer Watch

The Summer Watch

Summer has an official start (although that might not be totally obvious if you reside in the UK) and of course end date, but the definition of summer to me is nothing to do with the calendar.

It’s to do with the feeling you get when the sun beats down through an open window at first light, the smoky BBQ aroma that permeates the air late afternoon, and the long, lazy evenings kicking back with a cold one.

It’s the same with watches. Someone says “summer watch” and I immediately think of easy to wear, colourful and casual – diver and field watches and of course comfortable NATO straps - stuff you’d wear to the beach, or to chill by the pool. But there is no official definition of a ‘summer watch’ and no set style, in fact, I would go so far as to say that it’s not style at all, it’s a feeling.

So knock the froth off a Friday afternoon beer and have a look at this handful of watches that are giving us that summer feeling this week…

Just before you check out this week's watches - as I previously mentioned, we would be ever so grateful if you could share the love by asking fellow watch lovers to sign up to our weekly newsletter, have them email us (javid@vintagewatchspecialist.com) to tell us you referred them, and we will treat both of you to a stylish, and very handy, watch pouch.

Read on for our latest acquisitions, it’s just a handful of our collection, so if nothing piques your interest please do take a look at the full listings on our website.
