Warranty and Returns
All watches listed by Vintage Watch Specialist are sold in superb condition and most are sold serviced or recently serviced. In any event all watches are checked and inspected before sale for function, continuous operation and good timekeeping, (please note, however, that vintage watches by their very nature cannot be guaranteed specifically to maintain a particular rate of timekeeping as this depends on a number of factors including age, quality of the movement and positional, temporal conditions of use of the particular watch). If, however, your new purchase from us experiences gross timing errors after delivery we will repair your watch (postage exclusive) free of charge subject to the fault not being caused by improper handling or misuse.
All this is generally done before each item is listed on our site and we endeavour to describe them as accurately as possible in each and every instance. We also guarantee authenticity of every watch we sell with full refund guaranteed if proved not genuine.
Please note we do not guarantee waterproofing or water resistance unless we specifically say that the watch has been pressure tested by us, and is therefore guaranteed waterproof to a specified depth, even if it says "waterproof - yes"; this will be just how it was originally described by the manufacturer and not us. No warranty is offered or implied on leather straps fitted to our watches unless specifically sold separately and described as new. Faults in the movement due to accidental damage from knocking or dropping the watch will not be covered.
Vintage Watch Specialist give all watches (where listed and marked) a 12 (twelve) months guarantee for your peace of mind.
Any pre-owned or new watches that come with manufacturers guarantee remaining, will be stated clearly within our description and will come with the manufacturers original guarantee papers or cards.
The watches we retail are in fantastic working condition and, looked after properly, will remain so for many years. Nearly all mechanical watches and occasionally some quartz watches are repairable and a regular service will keep them ticking indefinitely.
Finally, any warranty is void if the watch or movement is tampered with by an unauthorised party.

Return of goods under the Distant Selling Directive (DSD)
In accordance with the EU DSD, you are entitled to cancel your order at anytime within 7 days of receiving your goods, if there is anything you are not happy about.
The cancellation period ends on the expiry of seven working days after you received the goods. This is provided we give you, the customer, the required written information about "DSD" no later than the time the goods are delivered, which we have done in this online document.
If you wish to cancel an order under these terms, first contact us ASAP after receipt of your purchase. Please return your item in the same condition we sent it to you, within 7 days of receiving your parcel.
We recommend that returned goods are fully insured. The costs of this and postage are borne by you the customer. Upon receipt and after a satisfactory inspection of returned item(s), we will issue a refund.
Please note that all our watches are also covered by the conditions set out in our written guarantee, should your purchase receive one.
