Frequently Asked Questions

What defines a vintage watch?

A vintage watch is typically defined as one that is at least 25 years old. While age is a factor, the watch must also have a certain charm or appeal reflective of its time period.

How do you ensure the authenticity of your watches?

We use a thorough methodology to ensure each timepiece's authenticity. We meticulously scrutinise attributes like dial colour, font style, case engraving, and movement quality. Utilise texts and digital platforms to cross-check characteristics against established examples. We may remove the case back for direct movement inspection and comparison with known models. For rare watches, we seek independent expert evaluations. Gather information on the watch's history to enhance authenticity. Collaborate with reputable sources in the vintage watch sector to ensure quality and trust.

Can I return a watch if I'm not satisfied?

As a retailer in the UK, we are legally obligated to provide our customers with a minimum of 14 days to return a watch they are not satisfied with.

Do you provide any warranty on your vintage watches?

We offer the following warranties:

Free repair for gross timing errors: If your newly purchased watch experiences significant timing issues after delivery, we will repair it free of charge (excluding postage) as long as the fault is not caused by mishandling or misuse.

12-month guarantee: Watches marked with a 12-month guarantee are covered for any defects within that period.

Manufacturer's guarantee: If the watch still has its original manufacturer's warranty, it will be clearly stated, and the original papers will be included.

No warranty for specific items: Watches sold as "trade basis" or with leather straps are generally sold without a warranty unless otherwise specified.

Please note that the warranty is void if the watch or movement is tampered with by an unauthorised party.

How can I tell if a vintage watch is in good working condition?

Our watches are thoroughly inspected and serviced by professional horologists before sale. We also provide detailed descriptions of their condition in each listing.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept major credit cards and bank transfers for your convenience and security.

Do you ship internationally?
