Founded in 1919 by Fritz Schluep in Grenchen, Switzerland, Titoni has established itself as a stalwart of Swiss watchmaking. Initially named Felco, the company was rebranded to Titoni in 1952 to reflect its evolution and growing reputation. Over the decades, Titoni has maintained its independence as a family-owned business, now managed by the third generation.

The Titoni Airmaster was first introduced in 1969 and emerged as a tribute to the growing aviation industry and the spirit of adventure that defined the era. Crafted with precision, the Airmaster was designed to meet the needs of pilots and aviation enthusiasts, featuring heightened legibility, robust construction, and reliable movements that could withstand the rigours of flight. This early Airmaster has been incredibly well preserved and is in wonderful vintage condition. The tank case appears to be a rather unique feature as most of the variations of the Airmaster are circular. The Champagne dial is in very nice shape and boasts beautiful gilt furniture comprising arrowhead hour markers and stylish Dauphine hands. There is also a central seconds needle hand. The dial is encapsulated underneath a Plexigas crystal and encased in stainless steel - at 40mm (lug to lug) the watch has a nice presence on the wrist and is incredibly stylish. This a great buy, unique and collectable, a great addition to any collection.
