A Very Handsome Oris Limited Edition (257/350) Jazz Automatic, Model Ref: 7476, in Fantastic Condition and Sold with Box and Papers

 The Oris story begins in 1904 in the quaint Swiss town of Hölstein. Two gents by the names of Paul Cattin and Georges Christian decided to launch a company there called Oris, named after a nearby brook. Within just a few short years, Oris became the largest employer in Hölstein.

This watch is a special edition of which only 350 were produced, it was crafted to to commemorate the commencement of Oris' sponsorship of the London Jazz Festival in 1996, and appears in the "Oris 100 Years" book. The crystal caseback is signed by Andy Sheppard - a celebrated and award-winning British jazz saxophonist and composer who has worked with many jazz greats! 

The watch is in superb condition with an attractive dial featuring a date track around the perimeter and a small seconds subdial at 9 o'clock. The hour markers and 12 o'clock Arabic numeral are luminous. The silvered hour and minute hands are luminous, while the slivered pointer date hand has a yellow tip, and the small seconds hand is yellow. This Limited Edition Oris watch comes fitted with the original Oris black leather strap with Oris signed stainless steel buckle, and is water resistant to 30 metres (when new). It is in superb condition with barely any signs of wear, and it is sold with its original box and papers. It wears really nicely on the wrist and would be absolutely perfect for a jazz lover with a penchant for watches or vice versa!!
