A Superb Rolex Oyster Perpetual Yachtmaster in Gold and Steel With a Silver/Grey Sunburst Dial, Model Ref: 16623, Sold with Box and Papers, 2011. 

Rolex originally introduced the 40mm Yacht-Master in 1992 it was a Reference 16628 in 18kt gold, with a white dial and 3135 movement, which was the same movement used in the Rolex Submariner. The Yacht-Master had a triple-lock crown, and it was water resistant to 100 meters (10 bars) which is 320 Feet.  

What’s On Offer 

The Yacht-Master 16623 was the first two-tone version in the men’s 40mm size. The 40mm stainless steel case includes an 18k yellow gold bezel, complete with raised numerals in a highly polished finish. Furthermore, the two-tone Oyster bracelet of the Yacht-Master 16623 features yellow gold centre links flanked by two rows of stainless steel. The dial is a stunning silver/grey sunburst with applied luminous pips on the hour plots for visibility in low light and a date aperture at 3 o'clock under a subtle cyclops. 

This watch is in beautiful pre-owned condition and is sold along with its original box and paperwork. This reference was discontinued in 2016.
