Very Appealing Tudor Submariner Date - Reference 9411/0 - Snowflake Hands - Blue Dial with Handsome Patina- circa. 1976 on Original Oyster Bracelet

This Tudor Prince Oysterdate Submariner with Snowflake hands - reference 9411/0,  is a wonderful example of one of Tudor’s renowned collector’s pieces. The patina on the wonderful and this much sought Blue dial is particularly attractive; some might say it holds a slight resemblance to that of a coral seabed, offering a charming affinity with the watches legacy and its links with the ocean. 

Originally designed upon a request from the French Navy (for whom Tudor was manufacturing these watches throughout the ’70s) for a legible underwater dial, the ‘Snowflake’ hands have become an extremely collectable variation to the classic Submariner, with this example being no exception.

Its square hour index markers have aged to inherit a light, even caramel tone, which together with the light ageing marks on the hands, creates a stunning warm feel and look full of vintage character. The date aperture at 3 O’clock is easily legible under the cyclops Acrylic crystal.

The bezel is in excellent condition and has also retained the original tritium pip and the bezel insert has developed a beautiful blue/grey 'ghost' -  natural signs associated with ageing and considered highly desirable. 

An impressive example of Tudor’s iconic tool watches which has survived the attrition that many don’t, this Submariner is now an undeniably collectable and beautiful timepiece. It will be difficult for us to part with this watch,  we have come to love the charm offensive that age brings to these delightful timepieces. Much like a fine wine, this particular model gets better with age.
