Vintage Tudor Prince Oysterdate Chrono-Time Automatic Wristwatch  - Ref. 9121/0 - c. 1973

Sister company to the world-famous Rolex brand, Tudor watches were originally produced to make the style and quality of iconic Rolex watch models accessible to everyday people -  and this 1973 Oysterdate doesn’t fail to hit the mark. This rare vintage piece bears all the trademarks of the era, with a stainless steel brushed and polished tonneau (barrel-shaped) case, and original, integral stainless steel, Tudor Oyster-type bracelet that closes securely with a Tudor signed folding clasp.

The green/blue dial features, polished steel and white inlaid baton hour markers, white outer minute divisions, luminous dots at each five minute baton marker and is offset by a paler green/blue bidirectional bezel. The dial also has a magnified date square at 3 o’clock. 

The stainless steel Oyster case, screw-down case back and twin-lock winding crown of this piece are also all Rolex made and signed, making this piece a top quality timepiece at a fraction of the Rolex price tag. 

This watch is marked with serial number 809***. 

What’s On Offer 

The watch is in excellent overall condition for its age, with no notable marks, and is in full working order. The dial is pristine, with all hands, date eye and hour batons in original condition. The bidirectional bezel turns perfectly. The case back has a few mild marks, though this is barely visible to the naked eye. The case itself and the bracelet links are overall in excellent condition.
