Record Watch Co. was founded in 1903 in Tramelan, Switzerland, and built a strong reputation for robust, affordable Swiss timepieces. During the Second World War, Record became one of the twelve brands commissioned by the British Ministry of Defence to supply WWW “Dirty Dozen” service watches, cementing its place in military horological history. These tough, legible field watches were issued to British forces and are now highly collectible, valued for their reliability, simplicity and wartime provenance.

What's on Offer

A highly collectible example of the legendary “Dirty Dozen”, this Record WWW is a genuine British military-issued field watch from the closing stages of WW2. The rich black dial remains clear and legible, with original Arabic numerals and luminous plots that have aged evenly, giving the watch real character without detracting from usability. The nickel plated case wears beautifully on the wrist, paired here with a period-appropriate NATO-style strap.

Powered by the robust Record Calibre 022K manual-wind movement, this is a true tool watch built for service, now cherished by collectors for its history, scarcity and timeless military design. A fantastic opportunity to acquire one of the most sought-after British military watches of the era.

You will see from one of the images that the fixed lug bar on one side has been cut out for some reason unknown to us but rest assured by the time you have seen this listing that will have been replaced by our skilled and knowledgeable watchmaker!
