What’s On Offer
The dial on this Wittnauer is absolutely charming, what a stunning and sharp sunburst dial! We think this watch is very early 1960s or maybe even the late 1950s, so it has been meticulously taken care of as it is in beautiful condition. The dial boasts razor-sharp Dauphine hands with their original lume and applied Arabic numerals as well as a recessed seconds dial at 6 o'clock. The watch is powered by the Wittnauer 11BG (AS 1201). The inside caseback is 1132 signed Longines Wittnauer - Longines bought Wittnauer in 1950 and actually produced some very similar watches under both brands. We have paired the watch with a stylish handmade leather tan-coloured strap with contrast stitching which really brings out the warmth of the dial. This watch is beautiful on the wrist and would be appropriate for both everyday wear and more dressy occasions. A stunning watch in the flesh from a watchmaker with a long history and reputable pedigree.
