An Utterly Charming WW1 Trench Watch by Rolex with a Stunning Silver Dial and Beautiful Pastel Lume - a Stunner!

Rolex, founded in 1905 by Hans Wilsdorf and Alfred Davis in London, quickly became a pioneer in wristwatch innovation. The brand introduced the first waterproof watch, the Oyster, in 1926, followed by the Perpetual rotor self-winding mechanism in 1931. Renowned for precision and durability, Rolex became synonymous with luxury and performance, featuring in explorations, deep-sea dives, and aviation milestones, cementing its status as one of the world’s most iconic watchmakers.

What's on Offer

We are delighted to present this utterly charming solid silver Rolex trench watch, a true vintage treasure with a stunning silver-toned ivory dial and beautifully aged lume. The bold Arabic numerals retain their original pastel-yellow lume, perfectly matching the elegant cathedral hands. A recessed sub-dial sits at 6 o’clock, while the iconic Rolex signature completes the dial at 12.

The coin-edged Dennison made case in silver and flat onion crown add timeless appeal. Dennison cases, renowned for their exceptional craftsmanship, were produced in England and widely used by Rolex during the early 20th century. Their durable construction and fine finishing make them sought-after by collectors and they are simply beautiful, as illustrated by this beautiful early Rolex wrist watch.

The Dennison made case was produced and hallmarked in Birmingham and has the date letter "q" for 1915 which, would be correct for this WW1 Officers Trench watch by Rolex.
