A Beautiful Vintage Record Geneve Manual Wind Sub-Seconds with Classy Gilt Numerals 

"Record Watch Company" is a Swiss watch manufacturer with a rich history from 1903. The company was founded in the Swiss city of Tramelan by the brothers Joseph and Louis Record. Initially, they produced watches under the name "L. and J. Record." Later, the company was officially registered as "Record Watch Co. S.A."

Record Watch Company gained recognition for its high-quality timepieces and became known for producing wristwatches and pocket watches. The brand achieved significant success during the early to mid-20th century, particularly in the field of chronographs and sports watches.

Here is an exceptionally kept vintage Record manually wound dress watch dating to the 1940s.

The centrepiece is the dial, displaying gilt numerals, markers and hands against a cream backdrop. Also on the dial is a subsidiary seconds dial situated at 6 o'clock, which also has a gilt hand. The case is in excellent condition for its age with little signs of wear but is overall, in a nice unpolished, sharp condition. Caseback engravings read 1109-1, most likely referring to its model reference. Paired with a brown leather strap it is the perfect vintage dress watch.

Internally the watch features the manually wound Record Calibre 107 movement with 15 jewels and offers a power reserve of approximately 41 hours when completely wound.
