A Superb Vintage Balzer Dive Watch (JENNY Sealab 913) in Fantastic Condition Paired with an NSA Steel Bracelet. c.1968

The dive watch category has inspired many “micro-brands” and “boutique brands” over the last few decades many of which are effectively watches manufactured by an outside supplier and simply equipped with the brand’s own logo - in this case, the Balzer is a rebranded Jenny Sealab 913 - a producer of Dive watches in the 1960s. 

Founded in 1963, Jenny's primary focus was producing professional-grade dive watches, and at that, they excelled. During the mid-1960s, Jenny patented their MONOBLOC Triple-Safe case designs, which were used on their own self-branded pieces, as well as contracted by brands like Fortis.

A superb and rare vintage diver from Balzer, which is in fact a watch produced by Swiss brand JENNY, which is a sister brand to the famous DOXA brand and the first watchmaker to produce a 1,000-metre water-resistant dive watch - so the Balzer has a great pedigree!  

This watch has a real presence on the wrist, at 42mm it is fairly meaty and the striking throwback to the sixties styling really accentuates that. It is in fantastic condition with a royal blue dial and outer white chapter ring punctuated with zingy yellow hour plots with original lume for visibility. The blue bi-directional bezel is in great shape too. 

The watch has been paired with an NSA bracelet - a Swiss company and the original manufacturer of bracelets for many major watch brands including Rolex.
