Known among collectors as the “Lost Navigator,” this enigmatic military timepiece remains a point of fascination in horological circles. Around 2,000 examples were produced, each featuring a sterile dial and robust monobloc tonneau-shaped case. While many attribute these watches to Hamilton—whose military supply contracts extended into the mid-1970s—others speculate about their true origins, as CWC didn’t begin supplying wristwatches to the British armed forces until the early 1980s. As such, the “Lost Navigator” appears to have been issued during the transitional period between these two iconic manufacturers, further deepening the mystery and allure of this elusive model.

A very rare opportunity to acquire an incredibly well-preserved piece of British military history — the infamous and mysterious Lost Navigator, presented here in all its enigmatic glory. This piece is in superb condition, with a rich black dial, brilliant white Arabic numerals, and original lume on both the indices and hands. The iconic military pheon at 6 o'clock denotes its status as property of the MoD and the circled T means the luminous material is Tritium. The dial sits beneath shatterproof plexiglas, housed in a brushed stainless steel case that remains remarkably well preserved given the watch’s age and intended use.
