Omega Seamaster Professional 200m - Pre Bond - Reference 396.1062 - Quartz Movement - 1990s
A Nicely Preserved Omega Seamaster Pro 200m Quartz, Model Ref: 396.1062, with Beautifully Aged Lume, c.1990s
This Seamaster 200 was introduced as Pre-Bond on the official page of OMEGA. It was released in '88 and discontinued in '95. The same year, in 1995, James Bond became famous for wearing the Seamaster 300 in the movie “Golden Eye” as the “Bond Watch”.
What’s On Offer
This watch wears really well on the wrist, a classic in both form and function, every collector worth their salt needs a Seamaster in their collection and this is a great choice. It is known as the pre-James Bond as this was the last Seamaster dive watch made before being worn in the Pierce Brosnan era James Bond films.
The dial has been well preserved, rich black with lumed hour plots that have aged to a lovely warm toffee colour and the original lume is also present in the Mercedes hands. There is a date aperture at 3 o'clock and the Omega and Seamaster signatures complete the date which is encapsulated underneath sapphire crystal and encased in stainless steel. The bezel is in nice shape with a few minor signs of wear. This watch is in nice preowned condition and would make a fantastic addition to any collection or an ideal starting point for a new enthusiast.
