Introduced in 1948 to commemorate OMEGA’s 100th anniversary, the OMEGA Seamaster is the brand’s longest-running collection still in production. The original Seamaster was a gentleman’s watch, designed to stand up to the rigors of daily life. It was designed for “town, sea, and country” and is a far cry from what the line has developed into today.

A beautiful and unusual model with a fluted bezel on a rectangular case that has a real 80's feel. Produced at a time when the quartz revolution was booming and Omega was cutting costs, this later model with automatic Cal. 1110 movement and quick-setting date, carried on the distinguished tradition of the mechanical Seamaster. It has an ETA-based Omega ultra-thin automatic movement with 21 jewels. This watch is Omega through and through down to the original hands and signed winding crown. The deep gold coloured dial is in stunning condition and the applied pencil shape hour markers, Omega and Seamaster signatures are still crisp. The caseback is engraved with the Omega Hippocampus which became the symbol of the Omega Seamaster in 1958 as a means to signify the watch's water-resistant capabilities. An unusual watch that wears beautifully with classic styling and timeless design.
