A classic yet robust wristwatch, the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra is an elegant take on the Omega sports watch that is fit for any occasion. In 2002 Omega introduced a new chapter in the Seamaster family, the Omega Aqua Terra, an everyday watch that could be worn under any circumstances. The first models were introduced with the Co-Axial calibre 2500. This movement was based on an ETA movement and was one of the first ones with the George Daniels invention - the Co-Axial escapement. These movements were chronometer certified, which Omega said only needed to be serviced once every 6-8 years. 2008 came and the Aqua Terra had a significant upgrade from Omega. The dial was updated with the addition of vertical lines, but the biggest upgrade was on the inside. The in house Co-Axial calibre 8500 was introduced, which was displayed with a sapphire glass exhibition case back. 

The model on offer here benefits from an annual calendar with month and date function, chronometer rating and smart transparent case back. The domed sapphire crystal looks really clean and helps keep the watch watertight upto 150 meters. This reference 231.10.43.22.02.001 has the calibre 8601 Omega Co-Axial automatic movement which is both robust but also highly reliable. This watch channels a sporty aesthetic whilst remaining classy which is no easy task, the lines on the dial give a clean and contemporary look and the shape to the month and date function fits nicely with the pointed indices. The 43.5mm stainless steel case wears generously on wrist but doesn’t feel too chunky due to the tapered and twisted lugs similar to the classic Speedmaster, which is then finished nicely with a rather nice steel bracelet and concealed clasp.
