A Very Rare, Stylish and Unusual Omega Seamaster 600 with a Black and Red Scientific/Technical Dial, c.1966, Model Reference 135.011

The Seamaster is the longest-running product line still produced by Omega. It was introduced in 1948 and was based on designs made for the British Royal Navy. To reinforce its diving prowess, Omega came up with the hippocampus (seahorse) insignia.

What’s On Offer

A very rare 1965 Omega Seamaster 600 with a highly attractive black and red Cross-hair dial known as the “Technical Dial “. The rich black dial is in beautiful condition and the blood-red cross-hair detailing makes for a very stylish and unique look. The hour plots still boast some original lume which corresponds nicely with the lume inserts on the slim pencil hands. The steel case and faceted lugs are also in good shape and with the hippocampus (seahorse) insignia on the caseback, completes a nice package. This is an interesting and stylish watch with a slight nod to elements of Bauhaus design. It looks great on the wrist and is running well.
