The Omega De Ville watch has a rich history that traces its origins back to 1960, when it was first introduced by the renowned Swiss luxury watchmaker, Omega SA. Initially, the De Ville was part of the Seamaster series, which is one of Omega's most iconic and enduring lines. The Seamaster collection, launched in 1948, was known for its water-resistant features and robust designs suitable for adventurers and professionals alike.

However, as the years progressed, there emerged a demand for a more elegant and dressier timepiece that retained Omega's hallmark precision and quality. Responding to this demand, Omega decided to carve out a distinct identity for the De Ville series in 1967. The separation marked the birth of a collection that would be synonymous with sophistication and classic design. Unlike its Seamaster siblings that leaned towards sportiness and durability under extreme conditions, the De Ville was crafted with elegance, simplicity, and wearability in mind—targeting those who appreciated fine watchmaking in more formal settings.

The DeVille Deauville line of tank watches encompasses three of the largest and most visually striking tank watch designs ever produced by Omega in the 1970s.

What's on Offer

This tank-cased Omega De Ville Deauville with a brushed blue dial is the epitome of retro cool. The unusual colourway and striking Avant Gard design is a winning combination and is sure to cause an enviable stir on the wrist! This beautifully unique timepiece is in wonderful condition with a blemish-free dial encapsulated underneath acrylic crystal and encased in a brushed stainless steel key-bolt compressor case. The caseback is fastened to the case using two steel pins which hold it under tension. The brushed blue dial features painted hour markers except for the applied batons at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock. This is a rare and head-turning watch that wears beautifully, it runs well and is keeping good time - you will not go wrong with this very unique timepiece and you will almost certainly struggle to find one in such fantastic condition.
