A Beautiful Omega Constellation 167.005 Issued in the 1960s with a Stunning Patinated, Black Cross Hair Dial and Yellow Gold Dial Furniture.

The history of the Constellation line is very rich, it's one of Omega's oldest collections. The name stems from Omegas chronometer observatory-based testing. Observatory testing typically lasted for one to two months and contained accuracy tests that were possibly more taxing than modern-day methods.

Still, part of the Omega lineup today, the Constellation remains the pinnacle of the Omega dress watch collection with many grand and prestigious models having been released and enjoyed since the models' inception in 1952.

This particular Constellation is a classic reference and remains popular, but it's rare to find one that combines a stunning black, cross-hair dial, with gold dial furniture including applied baton hour markers, dauphine hands, and Omega signature - such as this offering we have for you today.

This vintage 1960s example is in remarkable condition and exudes charisma and style. The patina in the centre of the dial almost looks purposely done and resembles a sky full of stars - how very apt for a Constellation! 

Boasting the official Constellation Observatory emblem in gold on the centre of the caseback (some of the stars have been polished), a signed crown, and an Omega-signed crystal, this watch is Omega through and through. It might be a mid-size watch, but it wears larger, possibly thanks to its slender bezel and refined lines. A classic watch that will simply never go out of style, and in such good condition - it's worth snapping up quickly!
