Omega, a Swiss luxury watchmaker, has an illustrious history that dates back to 1848. Founded by Louis Brandt in La Chaux-de-Fonds, the company initially operated under his name until 1903 when it was renamed Omega Watch Co., symbolizing excellence and achievement. Omega's reputation for precision and innovation was solidified in 1917 when the British Royal Flying Corps chose Omega watches as their official timekeepers for combat units, followed by the American army in 1918.

This 1940s Omega dress watch is in exceptional vintage condition and boasts a beautiful two-tone dial in a warm Champagne colour. It is an oversized watch at 38mm which might sound mid-size by today's standards, however, it was positively huge back in the 1940s! By the by at 38mm, it is a great size for both men and women and wears beautifully on the wrist.

The dial is just charming, the two-tone colourway creates a beautiful aesthetic and combined with the stylish Dauphine hands, applied gilt hour markers and a recessed sub-seconds dial at 6 o'clock, makes for a stunning vintage piece! The case and lugs have also been very well preserved and given the gold elements on the dial and the warm Champagne colour, this watch could easily be worn with accessories of any metal. Paired with a stylish crocodile-style tan leather strap, this watch is a classic which will simply never go out of style, you cannot go wrong with vintage Omega.
