Longines Serge Manzon Solid Silver 'Stirrup' Watch - c.1972 - Original Box ***ON HOLD***
A Very Rare Longines By Serge Manzon Watch in Solid Silver with Original Longines Strap, Dated to c.1972 and Sold with Original Longines Box
In 1972, Paris-based French (furniture) designer, Serge Manzon created a series of solid silver watches for Longines. These Avant-Garde designs have become most collectable.
What’s On Offer
I genuinely believe that out of the collection of around 20 watches Serge Manzon collaborated with Longines on, this is the most desirable - it's just so unique with its belt buckle/stirrup shape. This watch is meaty on the wrist, a real statement piece crafted from solid silver with an elliptical chocolate cross-hair dial inset into the stirrup-shaped case. The silver is in good shape given this watch is over 50 years old, it is paired with its original Longines chocolate leather strap which has nicely softened over the years - we also have the original box for this watch which is exceptionally fortunate as these watches are so rare and even more so in such good condition! Suitable for ladies and gentlemen, this watch is undoubtedly not for wallflowers among us and will almost certainly be a talking point - we love it!
