Corum Time-Only Dress Watch - Silver Linen Dial - Manual Wind - c.1960
A Stunningly Simple and Chic Corum Vintage Dress Watch with a Beautiful Silver Linen Textured Dial, c.1960
In 1955 René Bannwart, with his strong entrepreneurial spirit and watchmaking experience acquired from the most prestigious watch manufacturers, created CORUM with his uncle Gaston Ries. Right from the time of its creation in 1955 in La Chaux- de-Fonds, CORUM displayed a determination to position itself at the forefront of the Swiss watch industry. In 1956 the first CORUM watches appeared on the market.
What’s On Offer
We love unusual pieces and this Corum watch is certainly that, with a history of producing creative and chic Avant-Garde watch designs, this example is relatively simple in relation to some of their other references, however, this is where the beauty lies! A stunningly simple, silver, time-only dial with linen texture, super slim pencil hands and an applied Corum signature. The dial is encapsulated underneath acrylic crystal and encased in stainless steel. We have paired the watch with a beautiful forest green lizard leather strap which looks fabulous - it really makes the dial pop. I absolutely love this piece, it is mid-size at 34mm but because of its simplicity and slim bezel, it wears much larger. A chic and stylish timepiece that will see the wearer through all manner of occasions.
