A really elegant pre-owned Cartier Automatic model reference 1040, in steel with a leather band and steel deployant fastener. This model is the larger in this range, the case being 38mm in diameter.

The eye catching and bold off white dial is easy to read with the mixture of Arabic numbers and guilt applied baton markers and sword hands. There is also a date aperture between 4 and 5 o'clock.

The case and uni-directional steel bezel are in very good condition with hardly any marks to speak of.

This model has the screw in case back and a screw on crown cover (with cabochon) making it water resistant to 100m.

A lovely watch with that semi-sporting look to dress up or down depending on the occasion!
