This exceptional Baume & Mercier Baumatic is a superb example of mid-century Swiss watchmaking. The beautifully textured silver linen dial is complemented by distinctive faceted arrowhead hour markers, elegant dauphine hands and a slender needle seconds hand, while the framed date window at three o'clock provides a subtle practical touch. Surrounding the dial is an eye-catching coin-edge bezel that perfectly frames the design. Housed in an 18ct gold case and powered by the automatic F692 calibre with 30 jewels, this is an effortlessly elegant vintage dress watch with remarkable presence on the wrist.

Presented in excellent vintage condition, the 18ct gold case retains crisp edges with only light signs of careful wear. The case, should you wish to know more, was made by the renowned Swiss casemakers Gabus Frères, Oracier SA during the 1970s when this watch was produced. These casemakers made for many well-known brands, including Rolex.

The textured silver dial remains particularly attractive, with clean printing, sharp applied hour markers, and a well-framed date aperture. The automatic movement is housed beneath the original caseback, and the watch is fitted to a quality black leather strap, making it ready to wear immediately.
