Almost Mint Royal Navy Issued CWC G10 'Fatboy' Quartz Wristwatch from 1985

The quartz "G10" was the first quartz watch supplied to the British military, named after the G1033 form required for issuance. Designed for simplicity and clarity, CWC produced over 160,000 G10 watches for the MOD from 1980 to 2006, with various caseback markings denoting the specific branch of the Armed Forces they were issued to.

The original logo was used for a couple of years before changing to the oval logo in 1982. Early G10s, nicknamed "Fatboy" due to their thicker cases needed to house larger movements, were distinctive. The 1985 model available for sale is a Fatboy iteration featuring the ETA 555 movement. This year marked the last production of this case variant of the G10.

 The dial, featuring a needle central seconds hand, CWC signature, and Tritium emblem, is protected by robust Plexiglas and housed in a stainless steel case. The case back is engraved with its issue numbers 0552/6645-99 5415317 12284/85. The watch case is also in excellent condition, with little to no signs of wear and its original factory finish.
