Neo-Vintage Tag Heuer Super Professional Automatic Dive Watch circa 1990

Heuer entered the dive watch market in 1978 with the reference 844 and reached the 1000-meter depth rating milestone in 1982. However, these early models adhered to the traditional dive watch design that had been popular for decades. The introduction of the Super Professional marked a significant departure from this trend, as Heuer transitioned to a purpose-built model designed specifically for professional divers. The Super Professional's monobloc case and its striking, prominent bezel set it apart from any dive watch previously produced by Heuer or any other brand in the industry. With this innovative design, Heuer successfully broke away from conventional dive watch aesthetics, creating a series of models that remained a staple in their catalogue for nearly 20 years.

This vintage 1990s Tag Heuer Super Professional is in superb condition. It boasts hi-spec dive watch features such as a bulky monobloc case and a prominent unidirectional bezel with large pointed markers which serve a dual purpose, (good visibility and grip underwater).

The black dial stands out with large tritium hour markers and an oversized triangle at 12. There is also a date aperture at 3 o'clock. The dial is in fantastic condition with its original lume on the hands and indices all still intact, but showing some signs of shrinkage, which has caused some cracks which you can see in our photos. These cracks can be either filled or re-lumed should you wish!

The bezel also looks well with only light blemishes present. The case and bracelet have been well looked after and bear only minimal signs of prior use. 

The watch is powered by a reliable ETA 2892 automatic movement offering a 42-hour power reserve. This is a great watch, combining a sporting aesthetic and function with the elegance of TAG design to create the perfect all-rounder. You cannot go wrong with vintage TAG.
