A Brand New Unworn December, 2019, Rolex Deepsea 'James Cameron' Deep Blue, Sea-Dweller. A Full Set With Most Stickers Still In Place!

A serious bit of kit for divers, explorers and seafarers alike, Rolex updated their Deepsea 'James Cameron' at Baselworld 2018 and, in doing so, have successfully renewed the hype around this limited edition professional diver's watch. 

Featuring a chunky, 18mm thick, 44mm wide solid stainless steel case with internal helium pressure routing, escape valve and ring lock pressure system, this watch was built for the depths. It sits proud on the wrist, carrying a good bit of weight not only physically but aesthetically too. The Deep-Blue gradient effect from pale blue to dark marine across the dial makes for a stunning look, representing Cameron's journey into the black abyss of the Mariana Trench, specifically to Challenger Deep, at a depth of 11,000 metres below surface level. With an early prototype of this Rolex on his wrist, Cameron's submarine reached pressures of up to 1,000 times greater than atmospheric, and went beyond the depth to which sunlight can penetrate. 

Having been intensely involved with the timing of this event, Rolex collaborated with Cameron to improve on this prototype and produce a piece that could be taken to extremities by civilian divers. Having updated the watch in 2018 to include narrower lugs and a slightly wider bracelet, the weight of the watch now balances significantly better on the wrist. Not only this, the 3235 movement series housed in this watch have been modified for longevity and superlative chronometer performance. 

The bracelet, cast in Rolexes solid 904L grade Stainless Steel, features lateral brushing and an adjustable double-deployant clasp.

This watch is brand new, unworn, and still retains its protective stickers from the shop as well as its solid plastic bezel protector. The watch is sold as a full set: it comes with all boxes and papers, international warranty (dated late December 2019), chronometer certificate, instruction booklet, leather wallet and shop/Rolex swing tags. If you've spotted marks on this watch, we can assure you that this is just air bubbles/creases in the protective stickers on the watch.
