A Sophisticated Zenith 9k Gold Dress Watch from the 1960s 

Established in 1865, Zenith is one of the longest-established watchmakers in the world and one of the few that still produce their own mechanical movements. 

In 1969 Zenith produced one of if not the world’s first automatic chronograph, the El Primero. This movement was the masterstroke for Zenith, so much so that 20 years later, when Rolex was looking for a more advanced movement for their chronograph Daytona, the El Primero was chosen.

This beautiful 9ct gold Zenith dress watch is charming. Hailing from the 1960s, it has been well preserved for the main part barring the usual light scratching and blemishes often found - these marks are more obvious on the photographs than in reality. The dial is in beautiful condition, simple and elegant in design, it boasts applied gold numeral markers, hands and a recessed sub-seconds dial at 6 o'clock. 

At 31mm the watch is mid-size, so it is perfectly suitable for both men and women, and the solid old case and lugs add a beautiful opulence - who doesn't love a vintage gold dree watch!  This watch is suitable for everyday wear as well as more formal occasions and wears beautifully on the wrist.
