A Classic Omega from the Vintage Seamaster Collection. An Automatic Caliber 1110 Movement, Model Reference 166.0277-366.0875. circa. 1984, on a matching Omega Bracelet

The Omega Seamaster collection originally started with a line of manually wound watches first produced in 1948, later automatic, quartz, and chronometer-rated watches were added to the range.

The Omega Seamaster, typically at the beginning, had a steel case and came on both a strap and a bracelet, screw-in case backs are archetypal, and were and still are, engraved with the Omega Hippocampus (Seahorse) logo, which denoted it being more water-resistant than other watches in the Omega line up!

What’s On Offer

This Omega Seamaster from 1984 is a great example and in excellent condition apart from the odd blemish and rubbing on the bracelet (mainly to the bracelet clasp), otherwise the case and remainder of the watch are pretty exceptional! 

Likewise, the pale gold dial with its date aperture at 3 is also in splendid and unblemished condition. The dial is signed Omega, Seamaster Automatic and at 6, although it says 'Swiss Made', although it does have tritium pips at the tips of the baton hour markers to aid visibility in the dark. The only fault we can find with the dial is one of the tritium pips is missing at 9 o'clock!

The watch we feel is extremely attractive and is further accentuated by the fluted bezel that surrounds the already stunning dial! 

The case back has a deep crisp Hippocampus and a very lite and discreet engraving 'YF Anderson'.

The watch is polished off by the typically Omega, workhorse, the caliber 1110 automatic movement, which has just been serviced by our watchmaker and is running healthily. All in all a great Omega dress watch!
