A Very Funky Ladies Seiko Hi-Beat Automatic Square Cased Dress Watch from the 1970s

Seiko was founded by Kintaro Hattori in Tokyo, Japan. The company initially started as a jewellery and watch shop, and over the years, it evolved into a major player in the watchmaking industry. Seiko has been at the forefront of watchmaking innovation. One of its significant contributions was introducing the quartz movement in 1969, which revolutionized the industry by creating the world's first quartz watch, the Seiko Astron.

Here is a very unique and funky-looking ladies' Seiko Hi-Beat dress watch hailing from the 1970s. The 1970s was an awesome period of design and this watch is a great example of that. For starters, the slim 26mm stainless steel case has very nicely finished rounded edges and a small plexiglass window. Attached to all this is the original Seiko mesh bracelet which is in superb condition. An overall very nice ladies' piece and an excellent everyday vintage wear.
