The famous and much-celebrated MoonSwatch collection was born from a collaboration between horology big guns Swatch and Omega. This collaboration has caused a following frenzy in the past year with people queuing outside Swatch boutiques for hours to grab themselves one of the 11 colourful planet-themed watches. Although the watches are not limited editions, due to the unprecedented demand for certain models, getting hold of them has proved to be difficult and pushed reselling prices upward. The 'Moon' themed Moonswatch has become one of the most popular of the collection probably due to its similarity to the much heftier priced Omega Moonwatch. The whole collection boasts the exact dimensions and design of the original Omega, including "lyre" or twisted lugs, and a wider right case flank to protect the crown and pushers. The dials of the Moonswatch collection incorporate the Swatch and MoonSwatch logos and also and the famous Speedmaster lettering.

A closer look at the glass construction reveals the "hidden" 'S' integrated in the centre of the crystal. The circular pattern on the dial's outer ring and subdials brings a refined touch to the design, complementing the sharp and smooth lugs construction. The hours, minutes, chronograph seconds hands and hour markers sport Super-LumiNova for a perfect glow in the dark.
