A Superb Tudor Oyster Prince Submariner Model Ref: 7928 with a Gloss Black Dial, Gilt Minute Track and Beautifully Ghosted Bezel, c.1967

The 7928, like all Tudor Submariners, was developed with the French Navy, the Marine Nationale. It is the epitome of Tudor sports models and enjoyed a long production run from circa 1959 to circa 1968. The Tudor Submariner is a highly sought-after piece for both Tudor and Mil-Sub collectors.

A classic vintage sports watch from Tudor here in stunning condition with a beautifully aged dial featuring gorgeous vanilla lume which is also present on the Mercedes hands. At noon we have the small rose emblem and Tudor Oyster Prince and at 6 o'clock 200m-660ft, Submariner, Rotor and a smiley self-winding - all correct details we expect to see. This watch features the MK II gloss dial with the gilt minute track and silver writing, whilst the case is the Mk4 with 'Rounded' crown guards. The dial does feature some 'spidering' when inspected closely. The nicely ghosted bezel is in fine condition given the age of the watch, with very slight signs of wear and the Tropic 19 domed acrylic is also in good shape. The case and bracelet do have signs of general wear - it is a vintage piece after all, but really nothing of any concern for those of us that appreciate the joy of vintage watch collecting. The caseback reads: Original Oyster case by Rolex Geneva. This watch is extremely collectable, and offers much historical significance as far as vintage Tudor watches go - we love it! It is sold with our usual 12-month warranty and comes with a period-correct Tudor box.
