A simply stunning vintage Rolex Datejust 16013. This reference is the gold and steel combination with Jubilee bracelet dated to 1981 from the original papers that come with this watch.

This particular watch stands out most of all for it’s stunning and rare white 'Buckley' dial and secondly because it is in superb condition and includes its original inner and outer box, Datejust booklet and “punched” chronometre papers from when it was purchased new at a Rolex AD in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in December 1981.

The watch also has a valuation certificate from 2004 from a UK jewellers.

The gold and steel Jubilee bracelet also dates from the letter code “F” to 1981 so appears to be original to the watch and is in exceptional condition considering its age and shows very little signs of use or for that matter any stretch which you would normally expect from these bracelets. We feel that the watch has been worn sparingly in the past and has been very well cared for.

The stand out “Buckley” dial, named after the well known Rolex collector is what sets this watch apart from the many other early Datejusts you will find for sale at the moment! The painted Roman numerals in black along with matching mat black hands on this watch are what we love about it. All the lume plots are intact and have gone slightly creamy in colour and look gorgeous. The gold fluted bezel is still nice and sharp and it is set on a lovely stainless steel case that looks very lightly polished but still sharpe and generally clean and nice. Finished with a gold Rolex jubilee bracelet which we have to say is in fantastic condition with barely any stretch.
