Precista, a renowned name in the realm of military timepieces, has roots tracing back to the mid-20th century. Founded in the 1960s, Precista quickly established itself as a reputable supplier of robust and reliable watches for military personnel. The brand gained prominence during the 1970s and 1980s when it was commissioned to produce watches for the British Ministry of Defence (MoD). 
    
These watches were designed to meet stringent military specifications, ensuring durability and precision under extreme conditions.

This 1988 Precista ‘Big Triangle’ UK Royal Navy Issue Diver is in superb vintage condition. It boasts a 39mm Stainless Steel case, with uni-directional countdown bezel, and retains the original black insert with a luminous pip. The screw down crown is cushioned between rounded crown guards. The rich black dial boasts the iconic ‘big triangle’ at 12 o’clock and the Explorer layout with Arabic numerals. The original tritium lume is still present and has aged to a nice pale vanilla colour.  The case back bears the original military engravings with the military pheon and serial number 912/88. 

The Precista military issued dive watches were produced in small quantities over a short period in between 1988 and 1989, making the watches attractive to collectors and especially in such wonderful condition. Don't sleep on this on!
