c.1974 ‑ 1979, An Omega Constellation Stainless Steel Jumbo TV/Cushion Cased Watch with day & date - Dual Reference 168.0063 or 368.0854 - Cal.1021 COSC-Certified Chronometer.

A beautiful lesser-seen Omega Constellation 368.0854 with a TV-style case, day and date complications and a stunning bracelet (Ref. 1235/226). The metallic dial features silky horizontal brushing, jet black raised hour batons and luminous 'stick' hands which all contrast beautifully when reflected.

The TV case is a highlight if you ask us- a retro case style which is once more increasingly popular amongst collectors nearly 50 years after its initial wave of popularity, this reference having first been produced in 1974 through 1979, so a very limited run!

Unlike many similar Omega 1970s model references, this bracelet has wider and more integral links which make it much more appealing and stylish. It reminds us very much of an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak bracelet which shouldn't surprise us being another Gerald Genta design alongside much of the Omega Constellation range that he was also responsible for!

The automatic Calibre 1021 movement is extremely accurate and has a 42-hour power reserve. A truly timeless bridge between a functional and a dress watch, this Constellation could be worn dressed up or down with ease.

What's on offer

One look at the original brushing on this watch case reveals just how well it has been preserved, in fact we are pretty sure and were told by the previous owner that when he bought it, it was a 'new old stock' watch and how little it has been worn since by him looking at its present condition. Production of these watches was only for a very short period during the 1970s. The case edges and back, as shown in photographs, have barely any signs of wear. Macro photographs have been taken that reveal just how infrequently this watch has been worn. The glass is also pristine, as is the bracelet, which remains firm when worn with little give between the links. The watch will be guaranteed by us for 12 months and is delivered in one of our leather presentation/travel pouches.
