c.1984 Jesby Automatic Divers watch in a Brevet 503.305 (Heuer 1000) Monnin case MRPSA, 17 jewel calibre PS2878 movement
A beautiful, lesser-seen Jesby divers watch inside a highly collectable Monnin case seen throughout many popular, funkier diver watches. Intricate yet highly visible diver’s dial with a luminous orange inner ring, day and date window at 3 o’clock, orange-tipped diamond seconds hand and baton white hour hands. Luminous oversized hour plots with a double plot set at 12 for easy orientation.
The case is renowned as Heuer’s very first diver’s watch case, and became so successful thanks to its pioneering design that many other manufacturers at the time of its release (1979) sought to incorporate it. This spread to some more leftfield watch brands such as Jesby, who have lent it a highly collectable, funky iconic look.
Case and dial in very good condition, strap brand new. Most wear limited to the case back, with lug and case edges still lustrous and intact.
