Hamilton W10-6645-99 - Cushion Cased - Military Watch Issued 1973 - Caliber 649 Hacking Movement
Hamilton W10 Army Military Watch with W10 - 6645-99 Markings, Issued 1973
The Hamilton W10 succeeded the earlier Smiths production pieces and preceded the CWC production pieces. The W10 was originally requested by and supplied to, the Army between 1973 and 1976. With the watch on offer here being issued in 1973. The ‘T’ marking on the dial stands for tritium, the original 1970s material used to make dials luminescent. A monobloc case construction in the tonneau shape is a classic feature of these watches and have proved so popular and in demand that Hamilton has reissued the watch for the consumer market and they are now available as the “Khaki Aviation” watch but without the circle T & broad arrow applications on the dial.
