A Military-Issued Seiko Chronograph Pilots Watch 6645 2nd Generation in Excellent Condition with Original Military Engravings 

These watches are slightly larger than their first-generation cousins and are highly sought after due to their military history.

As with all British military-issued timepieces, the watch follows stipulations laid down by the Ministry of Defence, generally, this makes for a very legible and sober design.

It is a practical watch with superb functionality, ideal for everyday wear, and as such was chosen by the British Royal Air Force for use primarily by its pilots. 

What’s On Offer 

This watch has a quartz chronograph movement and a sandblasted stainless steel case with fixed military bars for operational reasons. The dial is matt black with subsidiary seconds at the 6 o'clock position and the thirty-minute elapsed timer at 12. There is also a twenty-four-hour time representation at the 9 position, which is so pilots are able to calculate flight plans across different time zones.

The inner bezel has sixty-second markings and the chronograph sixty-second recorder is the sweep hand. 

The case-back has the British Military issue numbers: 6645-99-8149181-1512/97 meaning that the watch was issued in 1997. It has the traditional British Military Broad Arrow mark also engraved on the case back. The watch is in excellent condition with very few signs of wear, and has a 'P-Promethium' marked dial which glows strong under UV and still holds a charge!
