A Beautifully Preserved Omega WWW Dirty Dozen Soldiers Watch in Fantastic Original  Condition with Military Engravings, c.1944

The Omega Dirty Dozen watch is a legendary timepiece that holds a special place in the hearts of watch enthusiasts around the world. This iconic collection takes its name from the twelve timepieces commissioned by the British Ministry of Defense during World War II. These watches were specifically designed to meet strict military specifications, and Omega was one of the twelve brands chosen to produce them. The allure of owning an Omega Dirty Dozen watch goes beyond its historical significance; it represents a connection to an era when these watches served as essential tools for those who fought valiantly on the frontlines. Collectors and enthusiasts value these timepieces not only for their functionality but also as cherished pieces of history.

What’s On Offer

This is a fine example of the Omega Dirty Dozen with its stark black dial and bold white Arabic numerals. It bears all the hallmarks we expect to see on these sought-after watches, including the recessed sub-seconds dial, lumed hour plots and outer minute track. The original sword hands are also present and in good shape boasting their original lume which has aged beautifully to a pale yellow colour. The dial is completed by the synonymous military arrow denoting the watch as military property, and the Omega signature. The dial is encapsulated underneath an acrylic crystal which is encased in robust stainless steel. The caseback features original military markings which read:  WWW Y11076 10675275. Running well and keeping good time, this watch is just as wearable today as it was during the Second World War! A much sought-after piece and in this wonderful condition, very collectable indeed.
