Omega Seamaster Chronograph Stainless Steel Ref.145.006-66 - c.1966 ***SOLD***
A rare and elegant caliber 321 Chronograph, this Omega Seamaster Reference 145.006-66 features a textured/sunburst silver dial and a striking orange chronograph hand and is perfect for everyday wear.
This Omega Seamaster Chronograph with its bright orange chronograph hand, three inset sub-registers and silky silver dial is a beautiful, yet functional timepiece which remains in a remarkable condition. The 38mm case is sealed by an Omega crown (non-screw in) which is straddled by the two chronograph pushers and is almost pristine, showing only the occasional sign of use on the edges and back of the case. This is partially due to the light polish work that appears to have been carried out on the sides of the case, but this has not affected the shape or size of the case and the radial brushed finish is still visible across the case top around the lugs etc. The case back is engraved with Omega’s famous aquatic hippocampus and ‘Seamaster’.
Although more commonly associated with the black dial, our Omega Seamaster Chronograph houses a rarer silver dial which juxtaposes the jet black hour index markers and the bright orange chronograph hand to form an intricate yet bold watch face. All of the dial’s components are original to the watch and are in superb condition: the orange chronograph hand has kept its sharpness, the dial is spotless, and the shiny stainless steel hands haven’t seen any tarnishing or ageing; even the tritium lume inserts and hour markers remain unfazed by the watch’s age.
