Originally launched in 1960 as part of the Seamaster line, the Omega De Ville quickly became known for its slimmer, more refined styling. By 1967, De Ville had become a standalone collection focused on elegant dress watches rather than sportier tool pieces. Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, the range embraced changing fashions with bold case shapes, integrated bracelets and quartz technology. Today, vintage De Ville models remain popular for their understated sophistication, reliable movements and distinctly retro Omega design language.

We are delighted to offer for sale this elegant Omega De Ville reference 111.077, a beautifully understated vintage dress watch dating to circa 1970. Housed in a slim stainless steel case, the standout feature is undoubtedly the striking champagne ribbon dial, whose vertically textured finish catches the light wonderfully and gives the watch a distinctive period character.

Minimalist baton hour markers with onyx inserts and corresponding hands keep the design clean and refined, while the manual wind Omega calibre 620 delivers the reliable, ultra-slim performance that made the De Ville range so popular during the era. Measuring 33mm across, the watch wears with classic vintage proportions and pairs perfectly with the black leather strap for a timeless dress-watch aesthetic.

This example remains in very good overall condition for its age, with the dial presenting especially well and only light signs of wear visible across the case, consistent with careful use over the decades. Running strongly at approximately +/-1 second per day, which we would expect, as it was previously owned by one of our watchmakers!
