A Pakistan Air Force Military-issued Omega 'Seamaster' Ranchero - Caseback engraved 'PAF' 1752xxxx - Caliber 285

In the late 1950s, Omega Watch Company received an order for the Railmaster model of watches from the Pakistani Air Force (PAF) requesting that the model name on the dial be changed to ‘Seamaster’ to which Omega subsequently obliged.

The dials were signed ‘Omega Seamaster’ with a Pakistani Air Force ‘PAF’ engraving to the case back. This particular watch is the Ranchero iteration ‘Seamaster’, the CK2996-1 SC, which was again issued for the PAF with a Seamaster dial.

What’s On Offer 

The black dial features lumed dart indexes on the hour which have aged to a deep caramel colour and Arabic quarters from 3 upwards to 12. Subtle white minute divisions frame the dial from the outer edge and luminous steel dauphine hands along with the Omega signature at 12 and Seamaster at 6, complete the dial. The back is engraved with PAF and the movement number, the only other addition being the  ‘Waterproof’ marking.

The watch is in nice order and any slight signs of wear merely add to its character. This would make a great addition to any collection, it wears nicely on the wrist and keeps good time, a great tool watch with a military history from a prestigious bloodline.
