A Sleek and minimalist Design Movado Automatic Bumper with a Striking Gilt Dial and Furniture

Achilles Ditesheim, a 19-year-old entrepreneur, hires six watchmakers and opens a small workshop in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. In 1905, Ditesheim named his young company Movado – a word meaning “always in motion” in Esperanto's artificial, international language.

What's on Offer

If you are looking for a classy vintage dress watch that sits quietly on the wrist without drawing too much attention but also an exceptional Swiss-made timepiece, this Movado ticks all of those boxes. It has a minimalist dial configuration whilst also having gold numerals and furniture giving a unique characteristic.

The gilt numerals and furniture sit against a cream dial and shine when catching the light. Encasing the watch is a solid stainless steel case which has been excellently crafted with articulated lugs. The case displays normal signs of wear such as light scratches and blemishes but are only very minor and mostly unnoticeable it is truly in great vintage condition.

The mechanical movement in this watch is the Movado, calibre 220, an automatic ‘bumper’ movement that keeps good time and makes a distinct vibration when handling the watch.

This is a very striking timepiece with bags of charisma that looks beautiful on the wrist. It is running well and keeping good time, we love it!
