Oris Watches, a Swiss luxury watch brand known for its precision and craftsmanship, has a rich and fascinating history that dates back over a century. Founded in 1904 by Paul Cattin and Georges Christian in the picturesque town of Hölstein, Switzerland, Oris quickly gained a reputation for producing high-quality timepieces. However, as the demand for wristwatches grew in popularity during World War I, Oris adapted to meet market needs and began manufacturing wristwatches with exceptional accuracy. Throughout the 20th century, Oris Watches continued to innovate and expand its offerings. In 1925, they introduced their first non-magnetic watch with an automatic movement – a significant achievement at the time. This was followed by many other groundbreaking developments such as their patented "red rotor," which became an iconic symbol of Oris watches.

Designed to meet the needs of professional divers this Oris TT1 is a mighty combination of form and function with centre hands for hours and minutes, subsidiary second at 9 h, date window, date corrector, fine timing device and stop-second. Featuring a multi-piece stainless steel case, minutes scale top ring, stainless steel screw-in security crown and Helium valve - it definitely covers all bases! The watch is in superb condition although it is a tool watch and has likely been used for purpose, it is sold with box its original box and papers. Certainly not one for the shrinking violets, this watch is a real meaty piece of kit and with its 47mm diameter, it has a real presence on the wrist whilst remaining surprisingly light and comfortable. The black wave dial is beautifully rich and the zesty orange accents offer a very sporty aesthetic - it isn't one for slipping subtly under a shirt cuff that is for sure, it wants to be worn and seen! Hands, indices and bezel elements are luminous for improved night time visibility.
