The Omega Dirty Dozen is one of the most collectible military watches ever produced, forming part of the legendary group of twelve watches commissioned by the British Ministry of Defence during the Second World War. Built to a strict military specification covering durability, legibility and reliability, these watches were issued to British forces in the 1940s. Omega’s version stood out for its robust movement and clean dial design, and today remains highly sought after by collectors of vintage military and tool watches alike.

What's on Offer

Presented here is an exceptionally collectible Omega “Dirty Dozen” military watch, issued to the British Ministry of Defence during the Second World War and dating to circa 1944. As one of the legendary twelve watches commissioned under the W.W.W. (“Watch, Wrist, Waterproof”) specification, Omega’s version remains among the most desirable examples thanks to its robust 30T2 movement and timeless military design.

The matte black dial features oversized Arabic numerals, a subsidiary seconds register at 6 o’clock and classic broad sword hands with aged lume, all created for maximum legibility in active service. The stainless steel case remains in very good overall condition for its age, showing honest signs of wear consistent with military use while retaining strong vintage character throughout.

Importantly, the screw caseback retains its original military engravings, including the “W.W.W.” marking, British broad arrow and issue numbers “Y23817” and “10688016”, confirming its wartime military provenance. Powered by the legendary Omega 30T2 manual wind movement and fitted to a green NATO-style strap, this is an outstanding and highly wearable piece of genuine military horological history.
