A Very Handsome CWC Military (not issued) Chronograph 6645-99 in Original Condition with Original Lume, c.1990

CWC produced their watches in Switzerland using robust mass-produced movements from the likes of ETA. They first got the chance to produce dive watches for the Ministry of Defence in 1980, after Rolex Submariner prices had risen too high. CWC has produced hundreds of thousands of military watches over the last 50 years for British service personnel in peacetime and conflict.

What’s On Offer

Although this watch has RAF Military Markings (6645-99 924-3306), it is not an issued watch. The case is crafted from stainless steel with a screwback case. It is asymmetrical with the right side of the case extending out further than the left side.  Round Side Pushers.  The top pusher starts and stops the chronograph and the bottom pusher resets the chronograph to zero. The watch has fixed lug bars and its original crystal and crown. There is some light wear to the crystal which could be changed should you so wish, but we prefer to offer watches in original condition.

The two-register chronograph dial in black is in nice condition with luminous tritium hour plots (Indicated by the T in the Circle) and bold Arabic numerals. The counter at 9 o'clock is constant seconds and the one at 12 counts to 30 minutes. The original sword hands are also luminous which means the dial is great in low light. This watch is in nice condition and for all intents and purposes, is a military watch, it was just never issued to the forces! A great tool watch that looks fantastic on the wrist and will be a reliable daily beater for years to come!
