A Vintage Longines Watch c.1935 - Stepped Subdial and Red '12' in a Distinct Military Style - Ornate Arabic Numerals - Blued Steel Hands

What’s On Offer 

A charming vintage offering here from Swiss watchmaking royalty, Longines. The dial is really rather appealing. Ageing from what was more than likely originally a white dial to an almost sepia hue with charismatic age spots and slight blemishing at the central pinion. The stepped subdial is crisp and is denoted by the Longines signature which is set above it, there is another signature at 12 o'clock which has faded over the years and is difficult to make out, however, it is possible to just see a 'Leeds and Huddersfield' - please do let us know if you can shed any light! 

The elegant blue steeled leaf hands are in keeping with the ornate Arabic numerals and complete a pretty little watch on a Bonklip ladder bracelet with slender lines, from a prestigious brand that would make a lovely timepiece on the right wrist. 

We have an extract of the archive from Longines for this watch which confirms it was supplied new to the UK importers of Longines, Baume & Co of that period, 1935.

The watch was also recently serviced by our watchmaker so rest assured it runs well and keeps great time.
