A Superb and Very Rare Lemania Single Pusher Chronograph 6BB/924 in Fantastic Condition, Issued to the British Royal Airforce in 1967

Lemania, a Swiss watch manufacturer established in 1884 by Alfred Lugrin, has a storied history in crafting high-quality timepieces, particularly military watches. Known for its exceptional chronograph movements, Lemania quickly garnered acclaim within the horological community. During World War II, the company supplied precise and durable watches to various armed forces, including the British Royal Air Force. Their robust design and reliable performance made them indispensable tools for pilots and navigators.

This watch, issued by the British RAF in 1967, boasts a distinctive asymmetric stainless steel case, designed to provide extra protection for the crown and pusher.

The matte black dial boasts the synonymous military pheon an arrow used to denote the watch as the property of the MoD. The circled T means the luminous material on the watch is Tritium and quite incredibly it has survived tremendously well and aged to a beautiful deep caramel on the Arabic numerals and on the original syringe hands. The outer rail track, sharp Arabic numerals, and iconic arrow markings are all well-defined, while the subdials positioned at 3 and 9 o'clock give the dial symmetry as well as function. The dial is encapsulated underneath shatterproof Plexiglas. 

Remarkably, the watch has been very well preserved and remains in excellent condition, especially considering the watch's age and military origins, this however maybe partly to do with the fact it comes from a personal private collection and has not been used for over 20 years!

Recently serviced by revered military watchmaker John Senior, this watch is running well and is completely original. A very much sought-after watch and a superb addition to any collection.
