NOMOS Glashütte, founded in 1990 by Roland Schwertner, is a distinguished German watchmaker known for its minimalist and Bauhaus-inspired designs. Located in the historic watchmaking town of Glashütte, Saxony, NOMOS quickly carved out a niche with its elegant aesthetics and high-quality craftsmanship.

The brand's first collection launched in 1992 featured four models: Tangente, Orion, Ludwig, and Tetra—each embodying clean lines and timeless appeal. In 2005, NOMOS introduced its own in-house movement, the Alpha calibre, marking a significant milestone towards independence and technical excellence.

Over the years, NOMOS has expanded its repertoire with innovations like the Swing System escapement in 2014 and award-winning models such as Metro and Ahoi. The company prides itself on combining traditional watchmaking techniques with contemporary design principles. Today, NOMOS Glashütte remains synonymous with precision engineering and understated elegance in the world of horology.

What's on Offer

Nomos is famed for its minimalist dial designs and this watch is a fantastic example in excellent pre-owned condition. The Bauhaus-inspired dial is blemish-free and is beautifully elegant with slim applied furniture, a very subtle date wheel at 6 o'clock and a recessed concentrical sub-second dial. Encapsulated underneath a sapphire crystal and encased in stainless steel, this watch is very wearable at 38mm, it is light and comfortable on the wrist and very stylish without being ostentatious in the slightest, in fact it is the epitome of understated style! The watch is ruining well and keeping good time, it is sold with its original box. A great piece for both everyday wear and more formal occasions. Every watch collector should own a Nomos.
